The Builders were a sapient race in the Big Blue. They constructed a prosperous and thriving civilisation in the ancient history of the Blue, responsible for many of the ruins that can be found throughout it. In addition, they created the Statue Islands and are thought to be responsible for the Unstable Portals.
The reason for their disappearance is unknown. Their language, The Old Tongue cannot be fully understood by any surviving peoples, except for the Crabs, who are able to understand their writing and seem to have a unique connection to their civilisation. The ancestors of the Korbak, before they came to Cerulea, once engaged in trade with The Builders through the portals between their worlds.
